On September 24th, PLA Litigation Funding had the honor of participating in the “Class Actions: Key Issues” session organized by Fide in Madrid. Representing our firm, our CEO, Jesús Rodrigo Lavilla, took part as a speaker in the panel focused on “Action Financing,” where he shared his insights and experience on the importance and impact of funding in the field of class actions.
During the session, key aspects of the EU Directive 2020/1828 and the draft Organic Law, which is currently under parliamentary review, were discussed. This new law aims to introduce a special procedure to protect the rights and interests of consumers. Topics such as action certification, the role of the liquidator, and the challenges associated with litigation funding were among the most relevant subjects, sparking an interesting exchange of ideas and perspectives.
At PLA Litigation Funding, we truly value the opportunity to have shared this space with other experts in the sector. We remain committed to contributing to the sustainable development of the litigation funding industry, while continuing to uphold our commercial focus and positioning.
Such events enrich the industry and highlight the need for ongoing discussion on how to improve and strengthen litigation funding mechanisms in our country.
